diehard poetry is a series of books published at Kings Bookshop Callander (formerly Old Grindles Bookshop, Edinburgh). The list, comprising some fifty titles, goes back to before the founding of Poetry Scotland, has continued through the recession with seven new poetry chapbooks, and will continue with further books by known and new authors. diehard has a poetry list, a drama list, and a few non fiction titles. Some of the books are out of print. We sell them in our own bookshop, selected independent bookshops, and other outlets.

page On the edge of Flanders Moss near Stirling and south of Callander: this wonderful seven-metre high Viewing Tower has just been opened. Poetry Scotland has printed a Special Tribute issue of poems from the project People, Peat and Poetry by the local schools and community, and Chris Powici's diehard chapbook Somehow This Earth was launched from the top of the Tower at the lunch time opening party, held on about the only dry day in a fortnight [23 November 2009]. We are awaiting the newspaper pictures of this event.
Another photo of the Tower below, in which you can see the flat bogginess of the land, full of wildlife and stretching for miles with a surrounding panorama of central Scotland's mountains.  These super photos are by Chris Powici.

The Tower is specially designed and constructed to stand on the deep moss, and it steel poles go down deeper than the height of the tower.
